  • 16 rules for success with uVme

    1. Get and stay out of your comfort zone. I believe that not much happens of any significance when we’re in our comfort zone. I hear people say, “But I’m concerned about security.” My response to that is simple: “Security is for cadavers.”

    2. Never give up. Almost nothing works the first time it’s attempted. Just because what you’re doing does not seem to be working, doesn’t mean it won’t work. It just means that it might not work the way you’re doing it. If it was easy, everyone would be doing it, and you wouldn’t have an opportunity.

    3. When you’re ready to quit, you’re closer than you think. There’s an old Chinese saying that I just love, and I believe it is so true. It goes like this: “The temptation to quit will be greatest just before you are about to succeed.”

    4. With regard to whatever worries you, not only accept the worst thing that could happen, but make it a point to quantify what the worst thing could be. Very seldom will the worst consequence be anywhere near as bad as a cloud of “undefined consequences.”

My father would tell me early on, when I was struggling and losing my shirt trying to get Parsons Technology going, “Well, Robert, if it doesn’t work, they can’t eat you.”

    5. Focus on what you want to have happen. Remember that old saying, “As you think, so shall you be.”

    6. Take things a day at a time. No matter how difficult your situation is, you can get through it if you don’t look too far into the future, and focus on the present moment. You can get through anything one day at a time.

    7. Always be moving forward. Never stop investing. Never stop improving. Never stop doing something new. The moment you stop improving your organization, it starts to die.

Make it your goal to be better each and every day, in some small way. Remember the Japanese concept of Kaizen. Small daily improvements eventually result in huge advantages.

    8. Be quick to decide. Remember what the Union Civil War general, Tecumseh Sherman said: “A good plan violently executed today is far and away better than a perfect plan tomorrow.”

    9. Measure everything of significance. I swear this is true. Anything that is measured and watched, improves.

    10. Anything that is not managed will deteriorate. If you want to uncover problems you don’t know about, take a few moments and look closely at the areas you haven’t examined for a while. I guarantee you problems will be there.

    11. Pay attention to your competitors, but pay more attention to what you’re doing. When you look at your competitors, remember that everything looks perfect at a distance. Even the planet Earth, if you get far enough into space, looks like a peaceful place.

    12. Never let anybody push you around. In our society, with our laws and even playing field, you have just as much right to what you’re doing as anyone else, provided that what you’re doing is legal.

    13. Never expect life to be fair. Life isn’t fair. You make your own breaks. You’ll be doing good if the only meaning fair has to you, is something that you pay when you get on a bus (i.e., fare).

    14. Solve your own problems. You’ll find that by coming up with your own solutions, you’ll develop a competitive edge. Masura Ibuka, the co-founder of SONY, said it best:

“You never succeed in technology, business, or anything by following the others.” There’s also an old Asian saying that I remind myself of frequently. It goes like this: “A wise man keeps his own counsel.”

    15. Don’t take yourself too seriously. Lighten up. Often, at least half of what we accomplish is due to luck. None of us are in control as much as we like to think we are.

    16. There’s always a reason to smile. Find it. After all, you’re really lucky just to be alive. Life is short. More and more, I agree with my little brother. He always reminds me: “We’re not here for a long time; we’re here for a good time.”

  • Make Video Games For a Living

The game industry is growing and game companies are now looking for young and talented people that can help them produce the next big hit. Do you have a passion for games and dream about making games for a living? Is it possible for a guy or gal like you to be one of those lucky people who actually makes it?

It is not only possible, but there has never been a better time to enter in to this multi billion dollar industry. But before you pursue a career as a game designer you'll need the right training to get started.

DeVry University - Bachelor's Degree, Game Programming
DeVry's Game and Simulation Programming curriculum will prepare you for taking on various development roles in the game industry. These roles include programmer, software engineer, game designer and project coordinator.

Westwood Online - Game Software Development
You can now take an education in game design through Westwood’s online program. If you are working towards a career in the game industry but don’t have any campuses nearby that offers any educational programs in game design or game software development, taking your game design degree online might be the best choice.

Study Game Design at Collins College
At Collins College you can take a Bachelor of Arts Game Design Degree (BA), and learn everything you need to start a career in the game industry. Their game design program covers everything from the planning of a game to the finished product.

    The Art Institutes Online
The Art Institute Online offers Bachelor of Science degrees online in Game Art and Design and Media Arts and Animation. The game industry has grown enormously the last couple of years and the need for more specialized educational programs geared toward game design, animation, digital landscaping and media arts was needed. The Art Institute Online is the leader in creative arts education online.

    American Sentinel University
The online Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Game Programming Specialization (BSCS-GP) program provides students with both a broad exposure to the field of computer science and specialized knowledge in the area of game programming.

  • Put your money where your mouse is?

Please note that all the uVme links are slow to load as everything is in the process of being moved across to superfast servers.

It's common knowledge that you can gamble online, but games of skill are also becoming a very popular way to put your money where your mouse is.

Casual games and traditional board games are the mainstay of this industry, which earns revenue by several means, including both through advertising and competition entry fees. Word games like Bookworm and puzzle games like Bejeweled are quite popular. Arcade, trivia, and card games are also frequently played for a wager or prizes.

Along with the usual single-player Web games that offer cash prizes, a growing number of sites are now letting users compete for a wager in multiplayer games and tournaments. As enjoyable as a free game of online chess or pool can be, having a little money riding on the outcome can certainly make it more thrilling.

To participate you will need a credit card or a PayPal account. Assuming you come out ahead, this is how you collect your winnings. Some sites start you out with 5 dollars worth of "practice money," which gives you a chance to try out the system without taking any risks. Once you have an account with the site, you can usually still choose to practice or play in free tournaments to hone your skills.

Although there is usually no limit to how much you can win, there are often limits to how much you will be allowed to lose in given period of time. Tournament payouts can be quite substantial, but don't expect to make a career out of it, because most games are played over relatively small wagers.

The legality of playing online games varies from one region to another. In the U.K. they have adopted a regulatory approach to the online gaming industry rather than passing laws against it. In the U.S. rules governing sweepstakes, contests, and tournaments with entry fees or prizes are determined by each state, not the federal government.

For this reason, skill game sites generally do not offer their services to residents of Arkansas, Arizona, Delaware, Florida, Iowa, Louisiana, Maryland and Tennessee. Some states equate all forms of online gaming for money with gambling.

Online gaming is a relatively new activity, so in many areas the technology is still ahead of the law. Few precedents have been set, and there is ongoing debate about the distinction between games of skill and gambling. For example, some states consider poker a game of chance, while in others it is labelled a game of skill. Consult a local authority if you want to know for sure what the legal status of playing online games for money is in your area.

As you would expect, all the leading sites that allow you to compete for cash have policies in place to discourage cheating and do what they can to enforce these rules. They are constantly watching for players that are using computer scripts or other methods to gain an unfair advantage. At the same time, cheaters are always looking for new ways to abuse the system, so undoubtedly, a certain amount of cheating still goes on.

In some cases the game sites have been accused of banning accounts and withholding winnings from alleged cheaters with no evidence. There aren't really any simple solutions to these problems. I recommend playing on a site that you trust and reporting any suspicious activity you come across.

    skill games for money

  • Nice VWD management cars

    VWD management

  • So what is uvme skill gaming from VWD?

Skill games are games where the outcome of a game is determined by the individual skill of each player.

Unlike casino games (or other games of chance), you never play against the house, and your odds of winning are directly related to your level of skill in that game.Play games against someone thousands of miles away, anywhere in the world. You can also play that same person for money. The concept seems simple enough, .

Online skill gaming has been defined as a sector of the video game industry, which has been called "recession proof" by some Wall Street analysts and the video game industry is now larger than the entire film industry and is growing at a rate of between 10 to 20% per year.

Its growing popularity is booming with some estimates putting the online gaming industry at a two billion dollar a year business within the next thirty months. This type of gaming is expected to dominate the future and create an entirely new form of entertainment

Based on simple, accessible, fun pay per play games, the potential addressable market is extremely large and diverse. The choice of games available means that there is something for everyone.

In Britain alone 7.6 million people spend 1½ hours a month on skill gaming websites

For the first time, in its relatively short history, skill gaming is receiving the profile and distribution that is required for the product to reach a critical mass of qualified customers.

VWD with uVme are poised to take a large chunk of that market.

  • Join uVme now - It's Simple and it's free

They have made it simple to join uVme and become involved. A seven-figure investment has been made developing their exclusive range of games, the integrated instant messenger, associate network software and the hardware required to run the whole platform.

The potential reach of the Internet is staggering. With broadband reaching ever more homes and Internet cafés, the popularity of live interaction with other people online is exploding.

The speed of people's home Internet connections is driving this market. In America, nearly 75% of Internet users had broadband at home last year, up from 57% just one year earlier…and Internet users in India increased by 54% in just one year.

The Internet is the fastest-growing market in the history of the WORLD, but just this one sector has been growing FOUR TIMES FASTER than the Internet overall.

People aren’t just using the web for information anymore, they now see it as a prime deliverer of entertainment. It’s even eating into TV-viewing figures, and also TV advertising revenue. Meanwhile, in-game advertising is predicted to grow by 70% year-on-year, to be worth billions of US Dollars in three years. It’s no wonder that TV companies are scrambling for a piece of online games real estate – buying companies, launching games platforms, and putting their content online in interactive form.

Alex Burmaster, European Internet Analyst, Nielsen//NetRatings (a global leader in Internet media and market research) said, “Take the fact that the online games sector is growing at four times the rate of overall Internet growth together with the increasing numbers…online and it is easy to see why companies such as MTV Networks are looking to get a piece of the action.”

The online games sector has been identified as the next step in the evolution of online entertainment, and people of all ages, from all over the world, play in their millions. And within this sector, “casual skill-based games” rank as one of the most popular pastimes.

It’s much more than that. Challenging a friend to a game, “u V me”, IS YOUR BUSINESS. The more fun people have, the bigger your profit. You don’t have to worry about stocks, overheads, selling, in fact, we’ve knocked down every barrier and erased every stigma attached, replacing it only with simplicity, fun, and status. So WIN or LOSE, you will always be a winner!
